Blogs in the classroom

So, what are your thoughts about the use of blogs in classrooms? Before you respond, check out the interesting blog from our friend Matt Martinez that I just received today! Click on the link called "Matt Martinez blog" in the upper right corner. Then post your comment by clicking on comments below.

Due to the fact that I will be heading into the classroom in the near future, I really love the idea of a blog! I think it keeps everyone updated about what the class is doing and enjoying and helps them feel a part of it all!
Blogs are a great idea!!

Okay, the hardest part was figuring out how to accept the invitation!! After working with Deb on the blog for the math workshop, I created blogs for 2 of my classes this semester. If you click on my name on the first page, you can take a look at each of them. The new early childhood students, especially, have commented that they find the blogs very user-friendly.

Well you all know how I use blogs since you heard me saying blog, blog, blog, during the sharing time of the department meeting.

I just checked out Matt's blog and it was so awesome to see how Matt was using his 1st grade classroom blog as a communication tool for parents and students.

Hi. I love the name of your blog. (Wish I had thought of it!) My blog is the one that you have linked to that says "1st grade" on your sidebar. That is actually not my blog, it is only one post that is over two years old. For some reason, that link has been floating around the blogosphere, and I am getting comments on it. I would appreciate it if you would change the link to http://classblogmeister.com/blog.php?blogger_id=1337 which includes all postings including current ones. Thanks!
